DAY 1- ARRIVE AUCKLAND On arrival in Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’, you will be met by a Kiwiway representative and assisted at the airport either meeting your driver for your private tour option or collecting your rental car for the self drive option. Continue to your accommodation.

DAY 2 - AUCKLAND – WAITOMO – ROTORUA Travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the recently opened Ruakuri Caves with an opportunity to view limestone formations and the famous local glowworms. Continue to the ‘thermal city’ of Rotorua.

DAY 3 - ROTORUA Today enjoy a sightseeing tour of Rotorua including Te Puia Thermal Reserve, Agrodome Sheep Show and Rainbow Springs Nature Park.

DAY 4 - ROTORUA – TAUPO Depart Rotorua for a leisurely journey south to New Zealand’s largest lake including a visit to the awe inspiring  Waiotapu thermal reserve enroute.

DAY 5 - TAUPO Enjoy today exploring Lake Taupo – visit Huka Falls for a photo opportunity. Perhaps take a jetboat ride up to Huka Falls or a helicopter ride to view the falls for a different perspective on this amazing natural waterfall!  (optional tours are not included in the tour price).

DAY 6 - TAUPO – AUCKLAND Today you will return to Auckland at your leisure through the small New Zealand farming towns of the Waikato Region.

DAY 7 - DEPART AUCKLANDYour arrangements conclude today with a departure transfer or the rental of your rental car to the airport. We trust you enjoyed your Kiwiway Vacation!

For Private Touring Passengers:

  • Entire itinerary as outlined by private vehicle with English speaking driver/guide
  • Vehicle/driver not at disposal 24 hours a day - only as outlined in the itinerary.
  • If additional requirements are needed, extra vehicle/driver hours may be added at additional cost.

 

For Self Drive Passengers:

  • Transport by self drive rental vehicle including unlimited kms
  • Standard motor vehicle insurance and applicable vehicle pickup fees
  • Any additional drivers added to the policy on collection of the vehicle
